What types of custom calendars can I create?  
You can create a personalized 12-month photo calendar in either 8.5" x 11" or 12" x 12".  

Can I add important dates to my calendar?  
Yes, you can! Personalize your custom photo calendar with birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, holidays, company events and other important dates. Provide a list and our calendar builder places each event in the appropriate place. 

Are custom calendars a good option for businesses, too?  
Yes. Custom business calendars make practical (and fun) promotional gifts for customers and employees. Add your company logo, team photos or even team mottos and goals. 

Can I use more than one photo per month? Can I change the layout for each month?  
Yes, for sure. You can include multiple photos each month, with a variety of layouts. You can even choose a different photo layout for every month of your custom calendar! 

Are custom calendars available for same-day pickup?  
Yes. Two same-day photo calendar pickup options are available. Same-day pickup varies by calendar type and store location, so review the available fulfillment options when ordering. 

What file types can I upload to make a photo calendar?  
We accept JPEG (.jpg), PNG, and BMP image files. JPEG is the format most phones and cameras use, while PNG is the better choice for logos, graphics, or images with transparent backgrounds. (We can’t convert file types, so HEIC photos need to be converted to JPEG beforehand.) You can upload photos from your computer or scan the QR code in the builder to send photos straight from your phone. 

What photo resolution do I need for a custom photo calendar?  
Photos from any modern smartphone easily meet our requirements, so you probably won’t ever need to worry about this. But for sharp, clear printing, use photos that are at least 1,700 × 2,200 pixels for an 8.5" × 11" wall calendar, and at least 2,400 × 2,400 pixels for a 12" × 12" calendar. If a photo is too small for the page or is cropped too tightly, we’ll let you know, so you can swap it or reduce the crop. 

Can I preview my calendar before ordering?  
Yes. The Staples calendar builder shows a live, print-accurate preview of every page while you design, so what you see on screen is extremely close to what prints. Before checkout, the “Review & Approve” step lets you page through the entire calendar, zoom in on details and go back into the editor to fix anything.  

How long are uploaded photos stored?  
Your calendar project will always be saved in My Projects. You can come back any time to finish a calendar you started, reorder a copy or update the photos for next year. Photos are removed only when you delete the project.
